Hook Home Help takes people to appintments and makes friends along the way

I met this lovely gentleman today at the dentist in Hook. I had taken a client who has hardly emerged from her house since Covid. His walking stick is a bit special because it's more stable and best of all, it doesn't fall over when you let go. I only took the photo so we could buy the same stick! A conversation about the walking stick turned into a long chat all about long lives, sharing the troubles of aging as well as offering support and advice about aids to make things easier. Sometimes a small bit of social interaction can make someone's day extra special. We are both very grateful to this chap for making a trip to the dentist into an occasion to learn, laugh and make a connection
