Hook Home Help is providing help in and out of the home for people in Hook

This month it was my birthday and I have been really touched by the clients who took the time and effort to write me cards and give me presents. This card is from my oldest client, who also has a birthday in October.

I said, "Are you going to be 95?"

He said, "Yes."

I said, "I'm going to be 50".

He looked at me and said, "Well you're doing very well for 50 aren't you?!"

I laughed so hard and said, "No, YOU are doing very well for 95!!"!!

I know a lot of people my age who are fitter than me but I do not know any other 95 year olds who still take themselves off for a walk and can return a text or email within 5 minutes. He can also chat about the headlines every day and remembers what my kids are doing at college.

This makes me laugh every time I think about it. This gentleman is an inspiration, and a very kind one and I am lucky to be part of his life.

Hook Home Help is providing help in and out of the home for people in Hook, and Hartley Wintney. Usually we pop in once a week but when people are poorly or need more help, we will do whatever they need. At the start of the year, I went in every day to make some lunch and report back to his family, and now he is fighting fit and we are back to normal, but I am always on hand if he needs me
