Helen joins Hook Home Help

This is me and Helen working together at an event before Christmas. Helen joined the team last year and this week I described her as half fairy and half angel. Helen manages to be gentle and caring at the same time as being as strong as an ox. She is undaunted by anything or anyone. She is firm with people when required and as soft as silk when needed.

I am honoured to Have Helen working alongside me. She has a deep understanding of people’s needs and is utterly conscientious in her work with our clients. After 26 years of experience in the adult social care sector and a background as a trained counselor, she has great intuition and wisdom beyond her years.

With a deep personal interest and understanding of dementia care, Helen brings specialised knowledge and empathy to her work.

Over the past year, she has also dedicated her time to volunteering with homeless and vulnerable adults, driven by her commitment to making a positive impact on those facing challenges. One of these projects is Zero Hunger, a dedicated food movement committed to eradicating hunger and food insecurity & promoting community engagement.

Helen goes above board every week in how she supports her clients and their families. No task is too much for her, I have never met anyone with such a “can do” attitude. She came to through mutual friends and suggested that we would be a good fit for each other and she couldn’t have been more right.

It is hard to find people who are reliable, conscientious and empathetic but Helen is all this and more.
