Can you cook?

We often moan about having to cook dinner but life is a lot harder when you're no longer able to cook for yourself. I have a new client who asked me to cook her a few Shepherd's pies. She said she was fed up of having people to help who couldn't cook - so the pressure was on!

Having not cooked a Shepherd's pie for about ten years due to one vegetarian child and another with an aversion to mashed potato, I was a bit nervous.

I made one for lunch and a few for the freezer.

The good news is that I passed the taste test. She was "delighted to have found someone who can cook" and I was happy to be that person.
